Learn and Develop has been founded by Sarah Hedderly and Vanessa Davidson. Both were trained to Masters level via the McTimoney College of Chiropractic to deliver first class treatment to their animal patients. They have between them over 30years experience teaching in higher education, and both hold Post Graduate Certificates in Education. Committed to lifelong learning Sarah and Vanessa have the skills, expertise and passion to break new boundaries in the delivery of quality yet affordable continuing professional development for equine and canine therapists, veterinary nurses and any individual interested in the physical health of animals.
Sarah originally trained as a Sports Injury Therapist, working with rugby teams, before retraining with the McTimoney College of chiropractic to follow her passion and work with animals. Sarah has for the past 15 years worked in the role of course leader for the college, alongside maintaining her private practice. Sarah is an accomplished rider having competed to Prix St George and jumped 1.40m classes. Sarah also has a large canine family who enjoy agility competitions and trick training.
Vanessa originally trained as an animal sciences lecturer, teaching all levels from GCSE to Masters, before retraining with the McTimoney College of Chiropractic to follow her passion and work with animals. Vanessa now combines teaching for the McTimoney College of Chiropractic with her private practice. Mother of two, Vanessa has a horse whom she enjoys dressage with, and three dogs, two of whom are working gundogs. Vanessa also sits as Chair of the McTimoney Animal Association.
